develop a prominent and permanent art gallery , to share works by a wide variety of artists from all over the world. in october 2010, dave opened the garden gallery with friend and business partner, hazel revington cross . the gallery was formally opened by graham knuttel – an internationally acclaimed artist whose own work adorned the walls at that time. the presence of knuttel’s work set a very high standard but over the course of three years, the garden gallery continued to attract artists of the highest calibre and welcomed legions of art lovers. is it now time to open in dublin and galway? well let’s see, ya never know. our mission our mission is to curate & host great ideas in 2014, the decision was made to create a large art gallery in mullingar. the mission and intention was (and is) to continue to offer the same informal environment that people came to know and expect in the countryside and to build on its success. while operated separately, the chimera gallery and the lisburn in 1965. he was educated at the methodist college, belfast and received formal training in architecture and design at queen's university. his style is influenced by the work of andy warhol and the pop art movement. his unique pieces have an original style, which are characterised by both skill and concept. he creates narratives with reference to popular culture, visually interpreting some of our most identifiable icons. whether depicting a seemingly mundane object, or the glamour of celebrity, the fusion of striking colour with intriguing texture is symbolic of jonathan’s work. jonathan aiken sean cotter sean cotter was born in kildare in 1969, sean cotter is former student of the national college of art and design and is a multiple award winning artist. cotter’s paintings are presented through a variety of mediums from oil on canvas to charcoal on paper. sean cotter mike hamblin mike hamblin is an american artist, based in montana and a graduate of the art institute of seattle. mike began drawing at the age of three and more than forty years later, his dedication to his work and his precision as an artist, have enabled him to capture real life using a variety of mediums. mike hamblin ann hugh tom mclean tom mclean catherine creaney catherine creaney is an award winning irish artist, born in dungannon. self taught her work has been exhibited in in numerous selected group exhibitions throughout ireland and the uk. her work focuses on capturing the character and individuality of the human form through the use of pencil, pastel and oil. catherine creaney philip lindey philip lindey was born in rochdale, greater manchester in 1968. his parents returned to their native ireland shortly after he was born, leading him to complete his studies in sligo and dublin (a masters in fine arts). philip lindey colin taylor colin taylor is a painter based in manchester, england and is interested in landscape and our experience of it. he has exhibited throughout the uk, the united states and europe and now ireland. colin taylor helen shulkin helen shulkin is an emerging artist based in baden-baden, germany. in a search for new methods to interpret high tech and urban spaces, helen is focusing on the idea of a metamorphosis where - through her individual esthesis helen shulkin michael gemmell michael gemmell was born in coleraine in 1950 and the family moved dublin in 1954, at fourteen found a job as a studio assistant in a dublin graphic studio, nicholas ardiff printers in johnstons court, where his boss, peter coyle took an interest in his artistic talent. michael gemmell lesley oldaker lesley oldaker a uk visual artist, currently living in zurich, switzerland. she has exhibited in the uk, usa ,switzerland, slovakia, italy, india and china, and has work in private collections in uk, usa, bratislava, china, australia and india. lesley oldaker jennifer balkan jennifer grew up in one of the countless suburbs of new jersey in between the holland tunnel and the jersey shore which spawned her affection and curiosity for all things carnivalesque. she studied behavioral neuroscience at lehigh university in pennsylvania which has a born in penclawdd, south wales and raised in swansea city. he studied at the carmarthenshire college of art & design and is now settled in balbriggan, north county dublin. dave west conor walton award winning irish artist, born in dublin in 1970. a graduate of the national college of art and design in dublin, conor was awarded a masters (with distinction) in art history and theory at the university
